RobotShop Inc. offers online sales according to the conditions described in this section. If you visit and shop on RobotShop inc. you accept these conditions. Please take the time to consider them. RobotShop reserves the right to modify at any time and without notification its website and its sales policies. If you are not in agreement with one or many of these conditions, please do not use the website in any way.

All information, images, descriptions, applications, demonstrations or programming examples contained on this website are presented for instructional value and are not guaranteed for any precise objectives. Although RobotShop does everything possible to provide the best information possible, RobotShop can not guarantee that this information is just and precise and assumes no responsibility for omissions or errors. Furthermore, RobotShop Inc. assumes no responsibility for damages resulting from the use of the material contained on its website, or for transgressions of copyrights and/or intellectual property from a third party relative to the use of said material.

All products sold by RobotShop are of good quality and are considered as being reliable. On the other hand, RobotShop warns against their use in an application, in a medical tool or system, in any domestic, commercial or industrial product where an error could result in harm or even death of a human being or an animal.

The primary responsibility for the use or operation of a robot (or its technology) in the presence of human beings falls on the user.

Be vigilant and act prudently.

Cancelling an Order

You can cancel items or orders that haven't yet entered the shipping process by contacting us ASAP via the RobotShop Support Center or by dialing +81(0)88 660 7277. We will verify the status of your order and make any necessary changes without any charge. We will verify the status of your order and make sure that it is not subject to any fees. 

Restocking fees up to 20% may apply for special orders and large quantity order cancellations, if a purchase has already been processed specifically for you with the manufacturer.

We put a lot of effort into delivering our products rapidly therefore, it may happen that your order has already entered the shipping process when you contact us. If this should occur and you still wish to return a product, please refer to the Returns section.

RobotShop reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in cases where an account has an outstanding balance.

Discount Codes: RobotShop may offer reductions in the form of coupon codes for Products that are sold & fulfilled by RobotShop directly (with SKUs starting by RB or RBD). They cannot be applied on the entire RobotShop Catalog: products starting with SKU RBC are excluded.

Discount codes must be redeemed manually by the customer during the Checkout process. The coupon code must be inserted, in its exact combination, within the ‘’Gift Card or discount code’’ field before the Payment is completed. The reduction (amount or percentage) will be applied automatically on the Subtotal. Each discount code may have its own condition(s), expiration date and limitation of use. 

Discount codes cannot be combined with gift cards, items on sale or on clearance items. Shipping fees or duty fees are excluded.

Volume Discounts: If you require multiple items and the total is over ¥100,000 for Products Sold & Fulfilled by RobotShop, please ask for a quotation through our Support Center. We will determine if a discount can be provided or not. At that time, the nature of your order, any repeat business and the possibility of an ongoing partnership will all be evaluated in order to offer you the best possible price.


The warranty conditions are those offered by the manufacturers. You may communicate with RobotShop or directly with the manufacturer. RobotShop is a reseller of many products and is not responsible in any case for the failure of a product manufactured by another company.

However, in the spirit of always wanting to better serve its clients, RobotShop is willing to serve as an intermediary to exchange and communicate with the manufacturer in order to ensure that the client receives a satisfying service for which he paid. Along these lines, RobotShop does not tolerate suppliers that do not take responsibility for their defective products.

Robot Kits:

It is important to note that Robot kits  may not be exchanged or refunded once they are assembled in part or in entirety. Only defective components will be replaced if the need arises. Along these lines, please carefully read the construction instructions for the robot and ensure that they are understood before commencing construction. Work carefully on a clean table and take regular breaks in order to maintain your concentration. Our manufacturers provide the necessary instructions for proper construction of their robot kits but can not be held responsible for mistakes made by the builder.

Specialized Components:

The same goes for all specialized components and robot parts . All products sent back to RobotShop on warranty will be inspected in order to determine if the problem was caused by a manufacturing problem and not improper use.

Payment Methods

An order is not binding upon RobotShop until it is accepted. RobotShop must receive payment before it will accept an order unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Unless otherwise specified, payment for the ordered product(s) is due prior to shipment.

If your order includes backordered products, payment for the entire order will be processed during checkout, and the order will be shipped once all items are available. This ensures that stock is reserved for you for the arrival of our next shipment. If you prefer to receive the available products immediately, we recommend placing separate orders.

Credit card: In order to pay by credit card, you will be required to enter your credit card number with the date of expiry once you reach Checkout. We accept JCB, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards.

If you would like more information concerning our secure payment method, please read the Security & Privacy section. If you are not comfortable making a payment online, you can reach us by phone (at +81(0)88 660 7277) or by fax (at +81(0)88 660 7278) and use your credit card that way.

We do perform screening checks for all credit card transactions. Please make sure your address and phone number match those associated with your credit card statement in order to avoid any delays. The majority of the orders can be processed and confirmed the same day. If we have questions or need confirmation, we will contact you.

Express Checkout: You can choose an Express Checkout method to complete your order during the Checkout process. These accelerated checkout options can automatically fill your credit card information and/or shipping address, allowing you to add your payment information quickly if you already have an account configured with one of the following services:

  • Paypal
  • Shop Pay 
  • Apple Pay (only supported on Apple Devices)
  • Google Pay

Please note that payments made through one of these Express Checkout options may be processed immediately, even if, for some reason, we are not in position to ship immediately (because the item is out of stock, for example). 

Paypal: It is also possible to pay via PayPal. You can choose this method directly during the online payment process. After clicking “Complete order”, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete your purchase. Please note that payments made through Paypal are processed immediately, even if we can't ship immediately (because the item is out of stock for example).

Wire Transfer: It is also possible to make a wire transfer directly to RobotShop's bank account. You can choose this method directly during the online payment process. The products ordered will be reserved for you for a period of 7 days, while we wait for your payment.

COD: Cash on delivery is accepted for orders shipped within Japan (Credit cards are not accepted at delivery). This payment method can be selected during Checkout when choosing Cash On Delivery as your Shipping method.



All prices indicated are in Japanese Yen (¥).

The prices indicated include taxes, but they do not include shipping and handling fees. Please see the Taxes Section to learn how taxes are calculated and charged.

Our prices may vary or change slightly, without notice, in function of price changes from our suppliers or manufacturers. Our prices may contain typographical errors. If such an error should occur, we reserve the right either to honour that price, inform the customer of the reason for such an error and correct the situation by asking the customer whether the order should stand at the revised price or be cancelled.


If you are not satisfied with a product you bought at RobotShop, for whatever reason, it is possible to return it for refund within 30 days of receipt. You must first advise us by submitting a ticket. RobotShop will provide you with a RA number. No returns will be accepted without having previously obtained a RA number. The product must then be returned in its original packaging (in perfect condition for resale) with its receipt and a small note for the reason of the return and your RA number. The note will help us to serve you better and improve our products. Reimbursement will be denied for any products which do not conform to the above mentioned conditions.

Build-it-yourself robot kits are not refundable once assembled. Robot parts requiring assembly or soldering are also not refundable once assembled, soldered or modified in any way. All sales of robotic software and apps are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Returns are not accepted on Special Order and Clearance Items except when they are found defective, in which case the product may be repaired or replaced at RobotShop's discretion. Re-stocking fees may apply if you are returning a large quantity of the same product that was ordered specifically for you with the manufacturer.

Please note that all items will be reimbursed within 7 days of receiving the product (shipping fees excluded). You must also cover the cost of returning the product. Shipping fees will only be refunded if the return is a result of a shipping error on our part. Cleaning fees (¥10000) may also be charged if a domestic robot is returned and has not been properly cleaned.

Taxes are included in the prices of the products, with a 10% Tax rate that is charged to all orders delivered in Japan. There are therefore no duties, taxes and/or custom fees charged in Japan upon delivery.

These taxes do not apply for orders outside of Japan but you may have duties, taxes and/or custom fees charged upon delivery. These fees vary from country to country. You are responsible for paying these fees. If you refuse to pay them upon delivery, your package will be returned to us. Upon receipt, we will refund your product (minus shipping fees for both ways). For more information, we strongly advise you to check with the Customs department in your country about its import policies.

  • Posts can be in English or French. Should you post in a different language, your post may be modified or removed.
  • The objective of the RobotShop forum is to discuss anything and everything about robotics. Unrelated content may be removed.
  • The RobotShop forum is intended for people of all ages (i.e. "family friendly").
  • You are free to disagree with others and provide your opinion, but always do so respectfully.
  • Do not use any language, wording or tone that might offend others.
  • Moderators may modify or remove posts which are deemed to be offensive or derogatory to individuals or companies.
  • If you find objectionable material or feel insulted please report the post. DO NOT retaliate.
  • Download / open files at your own risk - we cannot verify them all.
  • Postings express the views of the author, not that of RobotShop

Posting: Appropriate Category, Title & Information

  • Understand and respect the copyrights of other people, websites, software and printed media before posting.
  • Read through the forum categories before posting; off topic posts will be moved to the correct category.

    - Project Discussion & Showcase: Show off or discuss a project, product etc.
    - Lynxmotion: Specific categories for anything related to Lynxmotion products
  • Titles like "Help Me", or "I'm Stuck" serve little value in a forum.
  • Provide as much information as you can in the way of description, images and even videos.
  • If you are replying to a thread and deviating from the main topic, please start a new thread.
  • If no one answers your question or responds to your post, please "bump" it rather than posting it again.
  • If you also sent a ticket to the RobotShop Support Center, we may only reply via the Forum.

  • Membership information is kept confidential and is not sold or distributed to third parties.
  • RobotShop does not take ownership of the content you submit and the content is assumed to be "public".
