The AndyMark PicoBox LEO is a specialized gearbox designed for FIRST Tech Challenge teams, offering a robust and adaptable solution for adjusting the output speed and torque of various robotic mechanisms. This gearbox is engineered to integrate seamlessly with other building systems familiar to these teams, utilizing a base 16 mm center-to-center hole pattern. The reversible flanges maintain this pattern, enhancing its versatility in different configurations.
A distinctive feature of the PicoBox LEO is its capability to provide a mounting solution for chain-driven mechanisms, facilitated by the included 16 tooth #25 series Ninja Star sprocket. This makes it particularly suitable for pairing with robotic components such as intakes and shooters, among others. The name LEO, an acronym for Low Earth Orbit, reflects its innovative design, drawing inspiration from the orbital paths of satellites like the International Space Station.
The PicoBox LEO is specifically designed to be compatible with the NeveRest Orbital gearmotor series, ensuring optimal performance and integration. However, it is not compatible with the NeveRest Motor Only (am-3104) or the NeveRest Classic series of gearmotors. This product does not include a NeveRest Orbital Gearmotor, which must be acquired separately.
