The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 - 32.74:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 - 15.11:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and reliable operation. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.

Significant improvements have been made over previous models, including the use of AMPCO® 18 Bronze for the dog gear, which provides added lubricity and strength. The shift block assembly has been reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction. Users have the ability to independently select high and low ratios, providing greater customization.

The EVO Shifter features aggressive weight reduction techniques and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame. It utilizes a pneumatic shift method powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing for seamless shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed for easy disassembly and reassembly, with all cluster gears featuring identical bore-side characteristics.

The gearbox requires proper greasing for optimal performance and longevity. It is recommended to run the gearbox for a short period without grease to allow the gear teeth to wear in before applying grease. The US Digital encoder is included, providing additional options for encoder integration.

Note: Ensure proper installation of pinion gears, especially when using a NEO motor, as a 3-ton arbor press is required due to the interference fit. Follow the NEO Press Fit Pinion Guide for safety and optimal performance.
