The AndyMark NeveRest Orbital Gearmotor 1:1 ~6600 rpm, Anderson Powerpole 15A is a durable planetary gearmotor specifically engineered for the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). This gearmotor features a pre-installed encoder and a centrally positioned output shaft, making it suitable for various applications, from fast-spinning intakes to high-reduction arms. The output shaft is a 6 mm D, and the gearbox housing measures 37 mm in diameter.
The gearmotor is equipped with Anderson Powerpole 15A connectors, a popular choice among FTC and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams. It is compliant with the regulations of both FTC and FRC, as outlined in their respective game manuals. The motor is compatible with several gearboxes, such as the PicoBox LEO, GEO, and MEO, which facilitate the creation of chain drives and allow for gear changing.
An encoder is mounted on the backside of the motor, providing 7 pulses per revolution (PPR) through a hall effect mechanism. This feature allows for precise control and monitoring of the motor's performance. The gearmotor does not include an encoder cable, but various options are available to connect the encoder to the FIRST Tech Challenge REV Controller or to customize the pin configuration as needed.
