The National Control Devices MCP9600 K-Type Thermocouple I2C Mini Module is a fully integrated thermocouple Electromotive Force (EMF) to degree Celsius converter, with integrated Cold-Junction compensation. This MCP9600 K-type thermocouple Mini Module offers a convenient I2C interface for cross-platform compatibility and a K-Type thermocouple connector, compatible with all K-Type thermocouples.
The MCP9600 provides user-programmable registers, adding design flexibility for various temperature sensing applications. The registers allow user-selectable settings, an adjustable digital filter for fast transient temperatures, and four individually programmable temperature alert outputs, which can be used to detect multiple temperature zones.

This MCP9600 k-type thermocouple can be used to measure extremely high and extremely low temperatures. The MCP9600 comes with a number of settings to make the temperature readings and calculations easier. The MCP9600 k-type thermocouple comes with NCD I2C connector which makes it easy to interface with Arduino, raspberry pi, onion omega, particle photon, electron, USB and all major microcontrollers.

The MCP9600 k-type thermocouple includes one 5SRTC-TT-K-24-36 from Omega.com K-Type thermocouple with a 1 m, 24 AWG connection cable, rated for temperature measurement applications up to 260 °C (500 °F) with an accuracy of ±2.2 °C. Up to 8 MCP9600 thermocouples may be chained together on a single I2C interface bus.
