The Sherline Mill CNC Upgrade Kit w/ Stepper Motors (for 5000/5400, ") is designed for individuals who already possess a Sherline mill and wish to enhance its capabilities by integrating stepper motors for CNC functionality. This comprehensive kit facilitates the conversion process by providing essential components to retrofit the mill's X, Y, and Z axes with stepper motor mounts. A new leadscrew for the Z-axis is included, while the existing screws for the X and Y axes are retained, ensuring a seamless upgrade process.

The kit features three standard stepper motors, each equipped with plugs for easy connectivity. Central to the kit is a 4-axis driver box, which includes a power supply and all necessary cables to establish connections between the computer and the stepper motors. This driver box is pivotal in managing the operation of the motors, enabling precise control over the milling process.

Additionally, the kit provides the Sherline Linux/EMC control program on CD, offering users the option to install this software on their computer to facilitate the CNC operation.
