The SparkFun Audio Player Breakout - MY1690X-16S is a compact, serial-controlled audio player designed for seamless integration into projects requiring audio playback. It supports .WAV and .MP3 files from a microSD card formatted to FAT16 or FAT32. The device features a USB-C connector for mounting as a removable USB drive, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm TRRS connector for headphone output.

Control is achieved via a serial-UART interface at 3.3V TTL, utilizing a command set for managing playback, volume, and equalizer settings. An Arduino library is available to facilitate interaction through a simple text menu.
