Product was received undamaged. Item was order for the creation of a workbench power supply fabricated from outdated PC Towers. Numerous types of these devices were obtained from different suppliers, for both the fabrication and testing of the product as to which particular were of substandard quality, function and design, so as to inform clients of Acigan International as to which PCBs work better or worse, when opting on their own to repurpose outdated, but still functional PC parts for their own uses. PC Power supplies can be repurposed for many types of reasons, one of them to convert it into a regulated power supply for a workbench. Since the Power Rails are already filtered, isolated and regulated, for PC usage, much of the work involved in fabricating up a workbench power supply is already self contained in the component removed from a PC. Using this item, the ATX plug is simply connected and all of the assorted wiring and plug positions on the ATX connector is broken out for ease of connection to form a workbench power supply that provides the standard 5 and 12 volt connections used in most electronics today. The Right Angle connector allows for a flat cable run from the supply to the PCB, without any 90 degree bends to the wires themselves. The connector attaches flush to the mounting receiver as they do to their PC Motherboard counterparts. Using the breakout connections, any other type of power distribution can then be achieved in order to fully customize the power supply into a new or existing project.
