I'm using this pack to build a custom walker. I didn't want the kit with servos, as I wanted to be able to experiment with servos of different speed/torque. I also did not want an 8-bit operating system. The aluminum is a good alloy, the assembly screws are coated steel (even with "Ford" hands, I managed to do all the assembly without stripping any). Be wary of the packaging, there are a LOT of bearings and itty-bitties that can be lost. I'm currently using Savox standard sized servos, which are just slightly taller than the Hitec's, have 3X the torque (at 4X the price), and they fit pretty good (the height of the gearbox on top of the servo is significant or the ball bearing fit into the servo bracket isn't quite right). I ended up putting the servo horns on the opposite side of the bracket and it worked fine. It's a little pricey, but this is all the aluminium and screws for a good 4DOF hexapod base. I've seen (slightly) better brackets, but the quality of the materials makes up for a minor bit of design awkwardness.
