I often put together small systems that require a fair bit of 5V, and much less 12V. So I get a hefty 5V supply, and use one of these to generate the 12V. Saves $, space, and having a bulky AC to 12V power supply. They've been working great. I've used 3 so far, and am about to use a 4th. Enjoy!
