This one makes it easy. I've tried other so-called tilt compensated 9 axis compasses, but they needed me to do more math than my skill set includes. So for my submersible ROV I spent a little more and get one that did all the math for me. It returns Degrees and Temperature. The compass is "self calibrating". What this means is that on power up you have to swing it around in a circle. That seemed to do it for me. Maybe I did it wrong, but the temperature seemed always to be off by 9 degrees C.

I purchased the CMPS12 because the expensive chip I had used was unavailable. This was is so much more solid than any I have used. Once it have som time to self-calibrate the numbers just do not very even with large pitch and roll values. Very nice.
