I really, really, really wanted to love this product and be able to recommend it, but I cannot. I took a leap of faith and ordered 6 of these for a HS robotics and industry 4.0 course. 2 of the robot arms have to be returned to the manufacturer for exchange. One of them stopped working about 30 minutes after unboxing. The other seems to have stripped out gears in the arm. I spent hours trying to get them working before the company finally agreed to exchange. The documentation is poor, so you're mostly on your own with these. There is enough to get you started, but anything that needs troubleshooting is not going to be covered. The teach pendants are made of cheap plastic. They connect by bluetooth. If you have more than 1 running - good luck. There is no way to change the PIN so that you can use multiples. There is no documentation on changing the PIN. So I have 6 robots, 2 are out of service, and now I can only use 1 at a time with the pendant. Not a good situation when you have 24 students in a class waiting to use them. They also have a known issue with homing and getting locked up. The manufacturer has stated that they are going to replace the magnet homing system with limit switches - but that doesn't do you any good if you have the magnetic system. If you're really set on getting these, I would wait for the upgrades to happen before even considering purchasing. I think WLKATA rushed this product to market without doing enough engineering to put out an excellent product...and it COULD be an excellent product. The potential is there, but the execution is lacking. For what these cost you are not getting the value for the money.
