The YDLiDAR G2 is my first experience with a 2D LiDAR. I installed the ROS files from http://www.ydlidar.com/service_support/download.html to my Raspberry Pi 4B, which is configured with Debian-Buster OS and ROS-Melodic. I had RVIZ displaying point cloud data of my scanned office space within minutes! Now, I need to install and use on a mobile robot platform. Great deal for the money.
