The AndyMark NeveRest Orbital Gearmotor 50.9:1 ~130 rpm, Anderson Powerpole 15A is a durable planetary gearmotor specifically engineered for the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). This gearmotor features a pre-installed encoder and a centrally positioned output shaft, making it suitable for various applications, from fast-spinning intakes to high-reduction arms. The output shaft is a 6 mm D, and the gearbox housing measures 37 mm in diameter.
This gearmotor is equipped with Anderson Powerpole 15A connectors, a popular choice among FTC and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams. It is compliant with the regulations of both FTC and FRC, as outlined in their respective game manuals. The gearmotor is compatible with several gearboxes, such as the PicoBox LEO, GEO, and MEO, which facilitate the creation of chain drives and allow for gear changing.
The encoder mounted on the motor's backside is a hall effect encoder with 7 pulses per revolution (PPR). The PPR of the output shaft can be calculated by multiplying the gear ratio by 7. This feature enhances the precision and control of the motor's operations, making it a versatile component for robotics applications.
