I have been involved in the electronics since I was in Junior High in the 70's. Got my bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and always had a passion for programing and automation. Always had a passion for robotics especially. Even though Imy career went in the direction of calibration and use of automative tools I recently decided to tinker with this by learning the fundamentals of Arduino. So far I got up to Chapter 7. It starts with all simple stuff like ohms law and passive conponets , programming fundamentals like if and while loops, declaration statemets and fun stuff like that. I can see how this can be both great as an educational tool for the young and older folks. like me. I'm having a blast going through each chaper, building the circuits and learning about Arduinos functions. My hope is to dive into using this to control arms, wheels and hopefull vision systyems. My ultimate goalis to build my own personal robot to have fun with as a great hobby. I think this kit is great as the first step of leaning the fundaments and I look forward to proceeding in the next chapters. Even though I have not finished this ocurse I'm giving it a 5 for meeting all my expectations and the fun. Thank you RobotShop and Arduino Carl I was looking at all this fun stuff like

Good kit, but it only provides minimal exposure to programming. Look for another kit if you want programming help. But overall its still a good kit for starting Arduino.

Just purchased the kit and am now working on project 7. It comes with enough supplies for the projects in the book and to make a few of your own too. The book explains a great deal of knowledge with electronics and coding. On a side-note the Arduino website reference page goes more in depth with structures, variables, and functions just in case one were to purchase this kit and be confuse with the programming elements. I recommend purchasing this kit to anyone who wants to get their feet wet and explore. I'm loving my time with the Arduino.
