The DFRobot Fermion: SD3031 Precision RTC Module for Arduino (Breakout) is a real-time clock module that utilizes the SD3031 chip. This chip is equipped with an integrated crystal oscillator and a temperature compensator, ensuring high-precision timing and stability. The module's accuracy is maintained at ±3.8ppm (±0.32832 seconds/day) at a temperature of 25 °C.

The SD3031 chip can be powered by button-cell batteries, ensuring accurate timing even in the event of a main power source interruption.

The real-time clock module keeps track of various time units including seconds, minutes, hours, days of the week, dates of the month, and months and years. It also automatically adjusts the date at the end of each month and includes leap year corrections. Additionally, the SD3031 chip features a built-in 70-byte SRAM for low-power data storage.
