The Maduino Zero A7670 4G LTE Module w/ GNSS Positioning (CAT-1) is a cost-effective 4G solution based on the A7670, tailored to provide a stable 4G connection for Internet of Things (IoT) projects. This module is an ideal substitute for the more expensive CAT-4 modules, especially in scenarios where the advanced capabilities of CAT-4 are not a necessity. As 2G networks are gradually phased out, this module ensures a reliable method for IoT remote monitoring and control in anticipation of the broader adoption of 5G/Starlink technologies.
The device incorporates the A7600(E/SA) CAT-1 module and is built upon the ATSAMD21G18A, which is compatible with Arduino, thus facilitating the integration of 4G connectivity into Arduino-based projects. It is capable of gathering a wide range of local data, from simple temperature measurements to complex images and video, and supports internet data communication.
Moreover, the Maduino Zero 4G LTE module is equipped with full telephone functionality, which includes the capability to make phone calls using an earphone. This feature is particularly beneficial for alarm systems that necessitate immediate emergency notifications.
For platforms that operate with an operating system, such as personal computers or Raspberry Pis, the module can act as a direct 4G node once the necessary drivers are installed. It is pertinent to select the appropriate E/SA version of the module based on geographic location. It should be noted that the A7670 is not registered in the USA and does not support the USA network; in such cases, the SIM7600 version should be utilized.
The Maduino Zero 4G LTE module is not registered in the USA and does not support the USA network. Users in the USA should use the SIM7600 version instead.
