Very decent text to speech output module
A bit pricey but works well with very complete documentation. Some text has to be tweaked phonetically for proper pronunciation.

Parallax Emic 2 Text to Speach
What an amazing toy, connected it up to my Botboardunio (same order) and couldn't resist programming it to say "I'm sorry Dave, I cannot do that!", worked first time. Delivered pronto just before Christmas as well :-) This is going to be the voice on my Hexapod.
