The Pololu 10:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 12V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact and efficient brushed DC motor designed for precise control applications. It features a robust metal gearbox with a cross-section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This gearmotor is equipped with an integrated two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk on the motor shaft's rear protrusion. The encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) of the motor shaft, enhancing the motor's precision and control capabilities.
The encoder's quadrature design allows for accurate measurement of both the speed and direction of rotation, making it suitable for applications requiring precise positioning and speed control. The encoder is connected via a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards. The back connector orientation is parallel to the motor, facilitating streamlined integration into various mechanical systems.
This gearmotor operates at a voltage of 12 V, delivering a no-load performance of 3400 RPM with a current draw of 80 mA. It is capable of handling a stall torque of 0.17 kg⋅cm (2.4 oz⋅in) with a stall current of 0.75 A. The gear ratio of 9.96:1, achieved with brass plates, ensures a balance between speed and torque, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. Note: A cable is not included with this gearmotor.
