The Pololu 1000:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact and efficient brushed DC motor designed for high-performance applications. It features a robust gearbox with a cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This motor operates at a high power of 6V, utilizing carbon brushes and a substantial gear ratio of 986.41:1, which is supported by durable brass plates.
The motor is equipped with a 12 CPR incremental quadrature encoder, which is integrated with a back connector. This encoder employs a two-channel incremental Hall effect mechanism to accurately sense the rotation of a magnetic disk located on the rear protrusion of the motor shaft. This setup provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution, enhancing the precision of the motor's operation.
The no-load performance of the motor at 6V is characterized by a rotational speed of 33 RPM and a current draw of 150 mA. It is capable of delivering a stall torque of 11 kg⋅cm (152 oz⋅in) with a stall current of 1.5 A, making it suitable for demanding tasks that require both power and precision.
