The Pololu 150:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 12V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a metal gearbox and an integrated encoder. The gearbox features a cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This motor is designed to provide precise control over rotational movements, making it suitable for applications requiring accurate positioning and speed regulation.
The motor includes a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder that detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft. This encoder offers a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) of the motor shaft, which can be adjusted by the gearbox reduction factor to achieve higher counts per revolution at the gearbox output. The encoder is connected via a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards.
The motor terminals are accessible through specific connector pins, allowing for flexible operation by alternating the polarity of the power supply. The encoder outputs digital signals that indicate motor direction and speed, with built-in hysteresis to prevent signal interference. This motor operates at a voltage of 12 V, delivering a no-load performance of 220 RPM and a stall torque of 1.8 kg⋅cm. It is engineered for robust performance with a gear ratio of 150.58:1, featuring brass plates for enhanced durability.
