The Pololu 210:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Side Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. The gearbox features a cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This gearmotor is integrated with a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk located on the motor shaft's rear protrusion. The encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution of the motor shaft, with the ability to calculate the gearbox output by multiplying this count by the gearbox reduction factor.
The encoder is equipped with a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards. The side connector orientation is perpendicular to the motor, ensuring versatile mounting options. The motor terminals are accessible via red and black wires, and the motor is designed to operate in both directions by alternating the polarity of the power supplied to the motor leads. The sensors are powered through designated pins, with the quadrature outputs providing digital signals that indicate motor direction and speed.
This gearmotor is characterized by its high-performance carbon brushes and a gearbox with brass plates, operating efficiently at a voltage of 6 V. It delivers a no-load speed of 160 RPM and a stall torque of 2.8 kg⋅cm. Note: A cable is not included with this gearmotor.
