The Pololu 250:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 12V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. It features a 10×12 mm gearbox cross-section and a 9 mm long, 3 mm diameter D-shaped output shaft. This gearmotor is designed to deliver precise motion control, making it suitable for a variety of applications requiring high torque and low speed.
Integrated within the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft. This encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution, allowing for accurate monitoring of the motor's position and speed. The encoder is connected via a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards.
The motor's terminals are accessible through designated pins, and the encoder's sensors are powered by a voltage range of 2.7 V to 18 V. The quadrature outputs generate digital signals that indicate motor direction and speed, with built-in hysteresis to prevent erroneous signals. This gearmotor is engineered for reliable performance, offering a no-load speed of 130 RPM and a stall torque of 3.0 kg⋅cm.
