The Pololu 30:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 12V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Side Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. It features a gearbox cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This gearmotor is designed to deliver precise motion control, making it suitable for a variety of applications requiring compact and efficient power transmission.
Integrated within the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft. This encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) of the motor shaft, enhancing the motor's capability to deliver accurate feedback for position and speed control. The encoder is equipped with a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards, facilitating easy integration into electronic systems.
The gearmotor operates at a voltage of 12 V, achieving a no-load speed of 1100 RPM while drawing a current of 80 mA. It is capable of delivering a stall torque of 0.39 kg⋅cm (5.4 oz⋅in) with a stall current of 0.75 A. The gear ratio is approximately 29.86:1, utilizing durable brass plates to ensure reliable performance. The side connector orientation of the encoder is perpendicular to the motor, offering flexibility in mounting and installation configurations.
