The Pololu 50:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 12V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. It features a gearbox cross section measuring 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft with a diameter of 3 mm and a length of 9 mm. This gearmotor is designed to deliver precise motion control, making it suitable for a variety of applications requiring compact and efficient power transmission.
Integrated within the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft's rear protrusion. This encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) of the motor shaft, which can be multiplied by the gearbox reduction factor to determine the counts per revolution of the gearbox output. For this specific model with a 50:1 gearbox, the encoder yields approximately 617 CPR at the gearbox output shaft.
The encoder is equipped with a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards. The back connector orientation aligns parallel to the motor, facilitating streamlined integration into various mechanical systems. This gearmotor operates at a voltage of 12 V, offering a no-load speed of 650 RPM and a stall torque of 0.67 kg⋅cm. Note: A cable is not included with this gearmotor.
