The Pololu 24v12, 5.5-40V, 12A Motor Controller is versatile, general-purpose motor controller for brushed DC motors. Its ability to deliver up to several hundred Watts in a small form factor make these controllers suitable for many motor control applications. With a variety of supported interfaces like USB, TTL serial for use with embedded systems, RC hobby servo pulses for use as an RC-controlled electronic speed control (ESC), and analog voltages for use with a potentiometer or analog joystick and a wide array of configurable settings, these motor controllers make it easy to add basic control of brushed DC motors to a variety of projects.
This controller worked perfectly right out of the box. The operating manual (online) is outstanding and very detailed so there is no trouble figuring out how to set up the controller. One thing to watch out for is that your maximum motor surge current is below the 12 amp rating of the unit. The power FETs used on the unit are not made to take large surge overloads.
