The Robot Power Scorpion Nano Dual Channel R/C H-Bridge Motor Controller 1.2A, 3.3-16V is a compact and cost-effective solution for controlling dual-channel H-bridge speed in small robots and other electrical applications. It is particularly suited for ant and beetle weight combat robots, as well as other small robotic applications such as firefighting robots, maze solvers, micro sumo, and carpet rovers. Additionally, it is compatible with low-power pneumatic valves, solenoids, and relays.
This motor controller is engineered to deliver high power handling capabilities, offering flexibility in control and usability within one of the smallest dual motor control units available. It supports a standard R/C pulse format and operates within a battery voltage range of 3.3V to 16V, providing a continuous current of 1.2A per channel, with a peak of 2A. The fully reversible H-bridge design ensures equal power handling in both directions across both channels.
The Scorpion Nano includes features such as full current limiting and over-temperature protection to safeguard motors and batteries from short circuits. It offers the option to mix channels for throttle and steering or control them separately, making it ideal for skid steer vehicles and robots. Additional functionalities include a status LED for mode indications, a receiver battery eliminator circuit, and a failsafe mechanism that deactivates motors if the R/C signal is lost. The unit also supports calibration to match radio signal ranges, with settings stored in non-volatile EEPROM memory.
