It works without a hub

I had some difficulties when I initially tried to use this through a powered USB hub. It would show up in windows as a serial device, but all the software examples would fail to connect or query the device. Once I removed the hub and plugged it directly into my PC, it worked beautifully.

Hardware seems ok; poor library documentation

Easy enough to get the lidar module connected and spinning. However, the libraries provided by the manufacturer and/or anywhere else are half-baked. Basic functional is/should be possible. However, documentation is currently, uhm, limited. So expect to munge through a bunch of code and/or develop new code--not for beginners, but could be a promising, inexpensive option
