The ServoCity FTC Starter Kit (2025-2026 Season) is an extensive collection of components designed to facilitate the construction of a fully operational robot for the FIRST FTC challenge, DECODE™. This kit is engineered to provide a comprehensive solution for robotics teams, featuring advanced components that enhance performance and efficiency. Central to the kit are the Yellow Jacket Planetary Gear Motors, which incorporate a patented planetary gearbox, ensuring robust and reliable power transmission. The inclusion of ball-bearing-based components further reduces friction, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the robot's mechanical systems.
The kit is equipped with steel 8mm REX™ shafting, which includes M4 threaded holes and E-clips, providing a sturdy and versatile foundation for various mechanical assemblies. Additionally, the kit offers a conversion kit for a 19.2:1 ratio gearbox, allowing for customization and adaptability in gear configurations. The 5203 Series Yellow Jacket Planetary Gear Motors are complemented by motor wiring adaptors, ensuring seamless integration into the robot's electrical system.
To support precise control and movement, the kit includes dual-mode servos, a servo programmer, and servo mounts, along with necessary servo wiring. Powering the robot is a 12V NiMH nested battery, accompanied by a charger and a battery mount, ensuring a sustained energy supply during operations. The kit also provides essential accessories such as zip ties, various channels, brackets, mounts, and grid plates, which are crucial for assembling and securing the robot's structure.
Additional components include standoffs, spacers, gears, sprockets, and chain, as well as wheels and bearings, which are vital for the robot's mobility and mechanical functions. The inclusion of shafting, hubs, couplers, and collars further enhances the kit's versatility, allowing for intricate mechanical designs. To complete the assembly, the kit provides a comprehensive set of screws, nuts, washers, and shims, along with necessary tools, ensuring that teams have everything required to build a competitive robot.
Note: Ensure all components are assembled according to safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage.
