The ServoCity Heavy-Duty Linear Servo (Position Control, 12-24V, 112lb Thrust, 0.6"/sec, 10" Stroke) is a sophisticated device engineered to provide precise linear motion control. Unlike traditional linear actuators, this linear servo operates by responding to a PWM signal, eliminating the need for a motor controller with a feedback loop. It is designed for seamless integration with a servo controller, requiring no additional tuning or complex wiring. The advanced internal circuitry accepts PWM signals from various controllers, including wired servo controllers, wireless transmitters, and microcontrollers like Arduino. The closed-loop feedback system ensures accurate positioning within its stroke range by continuously monitoring the position via an internal potentiometer and adjusting the motor's power accordingly. The device is powered through a male XT30 connector, which requires a 12V input with a minimum of 5A. This setup allows both the linear servo and the servo controller to operate from a single power source. The linear servo's ACME screw mechanism provides efficient thrust and can handle significant static loads without back-driving, even when power is removed. Constructed with durable metal, the servo offers reliability and can function in any orientation, delivering equal force in both pulling and pushing directions. The mounting clevis near the motor is fixed, while the one on the extension tube can be rotated to suit specific application needs. Note: Ensure proper power supply and connection to prevent operational hazards.
