  • Features a 5:1 gear ratio for high torque
  • Supports multiple controllers like Arduino
  • Offers 504° max rotation for wide range
  • Compatible with goBILDA® mounting system
  • Includes unmodified servo ensuring FTC compliance

The Shark-5 Servo Gearbox (0.70 Sec/60°, 14 rpm 2360 Oz-in Torque, 504° Rotation) is powered by Hitec's advanced HSR-M9382TH brushless, titanium geared servo. This gearbox incorporates a 5:1 external gear ratio, enhancing torque and precision significantly while reducing the range. The servo is securely mounted within the gearbox, isolating the load to a robust steel hub-shaft supported by ball bearings, thereby safeguarding the servo from axial loads. The design offers versatile mounting options, featuring M4 threaded holes compatible with the goBILDA® system. The hub on the gearbox's top provides additional threaded holes for fastening, and the aluminum output gear can also be directly fastened using M4 hardware. The 8mm REX bore of the hub-shaft can accommodate an 8mm REX shaft or serve as a wire pass-through. This servo gearbox functions similarly to a standard servo but on a larger scale, maintaining identical control signals. It can connect to various controllers such as an R/C receiver, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or REV controller. The servo remains unmodified, ensuring FTC compliance. Available in both feedback and continuous modes, the gearbox allows for position control in feedback mode and speed and direction control in continuous mode. Users can switch between modes using a DPC-11 servo programmer.
