The Waveshare RM502Q-AE 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi, Quad Antennas LTE-A, Multi Band, 5G/4G/3G (Case, UK) integrates advanced network protocols and supports multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Android. It features a USB 3.1 port, compatible with USB 2.0, facilitating high-speed 5G communication when connected to a PC, Raspberry Pi, or Jetson Nano host board. The device includes a standard M.2 B KEY slot, compatible with various 5G modules, and is equipped with onboard UART, PWR, and RST control pins, along with a built-in voltage level translator, which can be enabled via a DIP switch for use with hosts like Raspberry Pi or Arduino.

The HAT is designed with an onboard USB-C connector for a standalone power supply, allowing for stable and flexible power management. It also includes a power supply on/off switch, a reset button, and an LED indicator for easy monitoring of the module's operating status. The dual SIM card slots support dual card single standby, switchable via AT command, and the high-efficiency power supply circuit can deliver up to 3A output current. The module supports 5G NSA and SA networking, as well as 4G and 3G internet connectivity.

Additionally, the device supports multi-constellation high-precision GNSS, including GPS, Beidou, Glonass, and Galileo. It features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO header, making it compatible with Raspberry Pi series and Jetson Nano, and its stackable design allows for the integration of more HATs.
