The BlueRobotics BlueBoat Cellular Modem Kit provides enhanced mobile network connectivity for the BlueBoat, facilitating long-range remote operations that extend beyond the limitations of the BaseStation’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This modem connects via USB and is equipped with an external antenna, along with all necessary accessories for seamless installation on the BlueBoat.
Manufactured by Quectel, the modem model EG25-G is designed to support a wide range of LTE and WCDMA bands, ensuring global compatibility and reliable performance. The modem operates in multiple modes, including QMI, ECM, and MBIM, and offers a theoretical maximum bandwidth of 150 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads, with typical bandwidths of 5 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up.
The external antenna, which operates within the 600 MHz to 2700 MHz frequency range, is omnidirectional with a gain of 7dbi, enhancing signal reception and transmission. The kit includes a Hologram global IoT SIM card, ensuring connectivity across various regions.
