The DFRobot Raspberry Pi CM4 IoT Router Carrier Board Mini w/ Case & PiTray Mini is an advanced internet expansion board designed for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. This compact board, measuring 55 x 62mm, integrates seamlessly with a gigabit network card via PCIe, providing two full-speed gigabit network ports. This configuration enhances performance, reduces CPU usage, and ensures higher stability over extended periods compared to USB network cards.
The board retains the characteristic GPIO pin header of Raspberry Pi, allowing for connections with various actuators, sensors, and a smart cooling fan. It also features a USB 2.0 interface, which supports connectivity with mobile hard drives, printers, WiFi modules, and LTE modules. The board supports the OpenWRT open-source router system, enabling it to function as a router after a straightforward setup. It is also compatible with Raspberry OS, Ubuntu Server, and other Raspberry Pi systems.
Powered by the BCM2711 4-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A72, this board is a robust platform for developing high-performance gateways, smart routers, and home IoT solutions. It can also serve as a mini-NAS, wireless network bridge, or LTE Internet terminal. Note: The board-socket of CM4 is fragile; ensure correct alignment and avoid repeated plugging and unplugging of the CM4 module.
