The Esp32-Stick-PoE-P Development Board is an open-source development board designed for Esp32, equipped with Ethernet and passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) support. This product was initially funded through a Kickstarter campaign. The design was inspired by a preference for Ethernet over WiFi in various projects, due to Ethernet's superior stability and ease of use. The addition of PoE, allowing the board to be powered via an Ethernet cable, enhances its appeal.
The standard active PoE operates at 48V and necessitates a special adapter. However, passive PoE eliminates this requirement and can be powered using cost-effective PoE injectors. Prior to the creation of this board, there were no Esp32 boards with passive PoE support available in the market.
