The Kitronik USB LED Strip w/ Power Switch is a low-power lighting solution designed for applications such as desk lamps and accent lights. With its compact size and simple layout, it is ideal for creative lighting enclosures.
The board features a micro USB power connector and is designed to be within the supply rating of a computer USB port (under 100 mA), allowing for convenient powering from a computer, laptop, or suitable power supply. Measuring approximately 50 mm in length and 10 mm in width, the PCB includes a single mounting hole, a power switch at one end, and a micro USB power connector at the other.
The end-mounted switch can be used to turn the LEDs on or off, and an additional switch can be connected in parallel with the PCB switch for remote mounting within an enclosure. The board also includes pads for soldering the remote switch. When using a remote switch, the PCB-mounted switch should be left in the Off position.
