Description

  • Motoron M3H550 Triple Motor Controller for Raspberry Pi (Connectors Soldered)
  • Independently manages up to three DC motors
  • Compatible with motor supply voltages from 1.8 to 22 V
  • Delivers continuous output currents of up to 1.7 A per motor
  • Simplifies the process of controlling bidirectional, brushed DC motors

The Motoron M3H550 Triple Motor Controller for Raspberry Pi (Connectors Soldered) is a sophisticated device designed to facilitate the control of DC motors via a Raspberry Pi (Model B+ or newer) through an I²C interface. This module is capable of independently managing up to three motors.

For projects requiring control over a larger number of motors, multiple Motoron boards can be conveniently stacked atop the same Raspberry Pi. The M3H550 is compatible with motor supply voltages ranging from 1.8 V to 22 V and can deliver continuous output currents of up to 1.7 A per motor. This particular model comes with pre-soldered stackable headers and terminal blocks.

The Motoron M3H550 add-on board simplifies the process of controlling up to three bidirectional, brushed DC motors with a compatible Raspberry Pi (Model B+ or newer). It is designed to be stacked on top of a Raspberry Pi (Model B+ or newer), similar to a HAT (Hardware Attached on Top). This allows for the stacking of multiple Motoron controllers on top of each other, thereby enabling independent control of a multitude of motors.

Unlike many motor drivers and motor driver expansion boards for Raspberry Pi, the Motoron does not necessitate any PWM outputs on the Raspberry Pi. Instead, the Raspberry Pi communicates with the Motoron via I²C, requiring only two GPIO pins, irrespective of the number of Motorons connected.
