Obstacle Detection Laser Sensor

The lasers on these sensors put out a strong beam, but I'm not getting the range I hoped for - except when the interrupting object is quite reflective.

Great Product, one of the 11 didn't work so well though

Need to measure the RPMs for a blower and didn't want to risk unbalancing it with magnets and Hall sensor. Also didn't want anything to get sucked in and make a mess. Settled on a Laser safely secured away from the blower and a sticky reflective target on the wheel. Works great. I initially bought 2 others on that "Jungle" website and both failed (laser never lit up and soldering was poor).
