The Phidgets Clip-on Current Transducer 75A offers a convenient solution for measuring up to 75A of direct current without the need for circuit disassembly. This device easily attaches to a wire and interfaces with a Phidgets VINT port or an analog input, facilitating seamless integration into existing systems.
This transducer is designed to measure the current in a single wire, requiring the separation of power and ground to function correctly. The innovative clip-on design ensures straightforward installation, making it an ideal choice for applications where quick setup is essential.
For enhanced measurement precision, users can loop the wire through the sensor multiple times. This technique effectively increases the resolution by doubling the measured current value, which can then be adjusted to achieve a finer measurement scale. However, caution is advised as excessive looping may lead to measurement inaccuracies if the wire window becomes overcrowded.
Note: Ensure that power and ground wires are separated to avoid erroneous zero amp readings.
