The sensor operates by emitting an infrared beam from the emitter, which is detected by the receiver. When an opaque object obstructs this beam, the sensor is triggered, and the receiver outputs a 5V signal. This device requires a power supply ranging from 10 to 30 volts for both the emitter and receiver.
