The Robot Power Simple-H Dual Channel H-Bridge Controller 20A, 5-28V for 3-28V Logic is a versatile and robust circuit designed for driving DC motors and other DC loads within a range of 6V to 28V. It supports a wide array of command sources, from simple switches to complex microcontrollers, allowing for flexible integration into various systems. The Simple-H HV version accommodates up to 28V input signals, maintaining the same circuit board footprint and mounting pattern as its counterparts.
This controller does not include on-board logic for interpreting commands, necessitating an external signal source to convert command inputs into the necessary switching signals. This design choice enables control via simple pushbuttons or advanced microcontrollers, including PCs through parallel or USB ports. The HV version features indicator LEDs with a constant-current driver, ensuring consistent output regardless of signal voltage and eliminating input signal loading.
The Simple-H is engineered to deliver reliable performance, with current ratings sustained over extended periods, unlike some competitors. It employs heatsinks and heavy copper areas for efficient heat dissipation, with the option to add a cooling fan for enhanced performance. The controller's design allows for configuration as a single full H-bridge or two independent half-bridge circuits, which can be combined for increased current handling. Mounting provisions for a standard 12V 50mm square computer cooling fan are included to maximize cooling efficiency.
