The SeeedStudio Water Flow Sensor (3/4")consists of a plastic valve body, a water rotor, and a hall-effect sensor. When water flows through the rotor, rotor rolls. Its speed changes with different rate of flow. The hall-effect sensor outputs the corresponding pulse Signal. The sensor is light and easy to install and all materials are in line with ROHS testing standards.
Note:
Non- violent impact and exposed in chemical environment
Throw or collision is strictly prohibited
Vertical installation, no more than 5 degrees inclination
This is an inexpensive and effective flow sensor. I would like to draw attention to the pipe fittings on it however. These are not customary NPT fittings used in North America but ISO-228 fittings commonly used everywhere else in the world. Finding compatible fittings in North America can be tricky. For the G3/4 threads on this sensor, I have found that the fittings on North American 3/4-inch flexible hot water tank hoses fit well.

Works reasonably
Received several as described, plumber installed without leaks. Tested at low flow speeds, sends pulses. Only approximate when trying to measure volume. Only regret is that the output signal can stop at either high or low when flow ends.
