The Sherline 3C Headstock Class 5 Bearing is a precision-engineered replacement part designed for enhanced performance and reliability. Featuring lifetime lubricated bearings with adjustable preload, it ensures better accuracy, tighter tolerance, smoother and quieter movement, and cooler running. These bearings are rated for continuous speeds up to approximately 4,000 RPM, with a factory preload adjustment of .0002″. For higher operating speeds up to 10,000 RPM, an optional preload setting of .0003″ is available. Replacement of headstock bearings is not recommended for customers due to the need for specialized alignment fixtures; professional servicing is advised.
