The upgrade includes a new lock plate and a longer bolt, which are easily installed without the need for additional holes. The locking lever can be secured in various positions to control backlash effectively, using knurled thumbscrews for precise adjustments. This system is compatible with older Sherline mills, allowing them to be upgraded with the new Z-axis saddle nut featuring an oiler. The inclusion of oil reservoirs on the X/Y axes and the Z axis ensures that critical parts remain well-lubricated, benefiting both CNC and manual machines.
