I had the equivalent of this kit in the late 70's (spring instead of snaps). I gave this to a co-worker as a gift for their kids. I passed on the what my father told me when I was 7: I wasn't learning anything, I was just following instructions. But I was having a lot of fun. At least years later, in High School Physics, I was familiar with hooking things up. A few of these experiments showed up in University Physics.

Bought this for my 7 year old son and he loves it. The project books are well laid out and easy to follow. The modular design of this product is very easy for a 7 year old to work with.

Love this product. The instructions are easily understood with easy to follow steps and pictures. Project ideas allow for more open ended discovery. The parts are easy to manipulate and large enough so that they are not easily lost.
