The SparkFun Qwiic Soil Moisture Sensor (Capacitive) is engineered to assess soil moisture levels through a capacitive plate embedded within its structure. It utilizes the CY8CMBR3102 Capsense® Express™ controller, enhancing its resistance to corrosion compared to traditional sensors with exposed metal components.
This sensor is equipped with a built-in depth ruler featuring both Imperial and Metric units for precise depth measurement. Additionally, it includes a blue STAT LED that provides visual alerts when moisture levels fall below a specified threshold. The device seamlessly integrates with the Qwiic Connect System, facilitating easy I2C communication without the need for soldering.
