The Tamiya Kayak is part of the Educational Construction Series, designed to provide an understanding of various types of movement mechanisms that can be utilized to power creative inventions. This kit allows for the construction of a kayak, offering an engaging assembly process and an insight into diverse propulsion systems.

The kit includes a plastic model assembly that results in a simple kayak model. The dimensions of the model are 210 mm in length, 200 mm in width, and 105 mm in height. The kayak is powered by a compact underwater gearbox and a submarine motor mini, which operate the paddle through a crank and link rods. The 3D link design ensures a realistic paddling motion.

The kit allows for the adjustment of paddle blade angles, which can alter the direction of the model's movement. The paddle and the kayaker are molded in PP plastic. The kit also includes a kayak-shaped PE foam component with a tail part that stabilizes the kayak during movement and can also serve as a stand when the model is not in use.

The paddle is secured using rubber rings to ensure durability. The kit also provides water-resistant stickers to decorate the kayaker.

Please note that the body and chassis of the model are made of ABS plastic and the kit is an assembly type. To complete the assembly, one AAA battery and basic assembly tools such as a Phillips screwdriver and plastic side cutters are required. The model is designed for use in water.
