The Unipi Extension xS11 is an extension module that facilitates communication via the RS485 serial interface using the Modbus RTU protocol. This module serves as an efficient and cost-effective solution for expanding projects with additional inputs and outputs. It integrates a substantial number of digital inputs and relay outputs, making it versatile for various applications. The xS11 is engineered for installation on a DIN rail and is compatible with Unipi Neuron and Unipi Patron controllers, as well as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) from other manufacturers.
The module features an aluminum chassis with an IP20 rating, ensuring a robust and durable construction. It operates with a power supply of 24 V⎓ and 0.5 A. The digital inputs are designed to interpret binary logic states through direct voltage levels, while the relay outputs are intended for controlling two-state devices that require higher current. The RS485 interface supports the Modbus protocol, facilitating seamless communication.
Additional functionalities of the xS11 include Direct Switch, Default settings, and a Master Watchdog. Users can manually or software-configure communication parameters and program the LEDs freely. The module is equipped with removable screw terminals and includes a DIN rail holder for easy installation, along with mounting screws and a grounding screw.
