The Waveshare PCIe to M.2 Adapter w/ PoE Function (C) for Raspberry Pi 5 is specifically designed to enhance the functionality of the Raspberry Pi 5. This adapter facilitates the integration of an NVMe protocol M.2 solid-state drive, enabling high-speed data reading and writing capabilities. It supports the IEEE 802.3af/at network standard, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of network environments.
The adapter is compatible with 2230 and 2242 size M.2 solid-state drives and supports both Gen2 and Gen3 modes, providing flexibility and performance. Additionally, it allows for booting the Raspberry Pi 5 directly from the solid-state drive, enhancing system efficiency and speed.
The device features onboard dual LED indicators for easy status monitoring and includes a PoE power input range of 37V to 57V DC, with a power output of 5V 5A through the GPIO header.
