The Waveshare R800C GSM/GPRS HAT for Raspberry Pi offers multi-communication functionalities, including GSM, GPRS, and phone calls, making it suitable for regions with 2G network coverage. With a maximum GPRS speed of 85.6kbps, this low-power HAT enables the Raspberry Pi to make phone calls, send messages, and connect to wireless internet.

It features a standard 40-pin GPIO extension header, UART interface, voltage translator, LED indicators, and a SIM card slot, supporting various protocols and baud rates. The HAT is controlled via AT commands and is compatible with the GSM 11.14 Release 99 SIM application toolkit.
